We’ll lose this Winter wonderland in a few short days as the weather warms up a bit. But January and February should be excellent for snow shots this year. Until then, I will enjoy our early Winter snow.
Every now and then, I like to return to my film roots and go for the deep tones again. These were all shot late at night - with streetlights my only light source.
I LOVE taking portraits in the snow. I wish more people wanted their pictures done this time of the year - so very Finnish and so incredibly beautiful and pure looking.
Still raining constantly - but nothing that can’t be solved by a good umbrella.
It’s rained nearly constantly for three weeks now - but even on the rainiest days, there are 10-15 minutes when the sky momentarily stops pouring and we can run out and do quick pictures and feed the ducks. For this little session, we shot in 10 minute bursts and then ran madly back to the [...]
This was an opportunity to break out my reflectors and 24mm lens and be creative. I had the sun for the first half of the shoot but it disappeared behind clouds all too soon. And someone was in a patriotic mood this afternoon.
